The operation of a good maintenance program is a duty and obligation of every motor carrier. To be in compliance and maintain safe and reliable equipment, carriers must stay current on constantly changing DOT regulations and industry standards.
The Mississippi Trucking Association Council of Maintenance Supervisors is an excellent source of information and assistance on maintenance matters for MTA members. It can help carriers set up and maintain a good maintenance program to prolong equipment life, limit liability and protect against bad roadside inspections.
Membership in the council is open to employees of Carrier and Allied members of the Mississippi Trucking Association in good standing. MTA encourages all of its members to have at least one active member in MTA Council of Maintenance Supervisors.
